What is a NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique file whose ownership is documented on the blockchain (like a „digital land register“).
What is blockchain technology?
A blockchain is a kind of digital land register where property rights can be assigned. It ensures the traceability of related transactions.
The Blockchain is decentralized and therefore not connected to states or banks; however, it is still stored with the highest security standards over a global computer network.
There is no such thing as „the“ one blockchain. The Ethereum blockchain, for example, documents every transaction using the cryptocurrency Ether. With the combination of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, assets can be transferred online without the need for an intermediary such as a bank or lending company.
What is Polygon?
Matic is a cryptocurrency, which is a digital currency used through a cryptographically secured payment system. Your transactions are recorded in the Polygon blockchain.
What does ,,minting" mean?
The term „minting“ comes from real-world coin production. In the crypto context, minting refers to the process of creating tokens from digital assets. The tokens are then registered, so to speak, and the digital art becomes part of the blockchain. As a result, they are immutable, tamper-proof, and can be circulated after this process.
How do I get my DOME-NFT (digital purchase)?
If you already have a Wallet, then you can simply jump to OpenSea, the largest trading platform for NFT art, via Pixelmap and buy the image you want.
- Select your favorite NFT on the Pixelmap.
- Click on „OpenSea“ in the window that opens.
- Enter your e-mail address in the ZDV form to receive your benefits.
- You will be redirected to OpenSea.io.
- Click on „Buy now.
- Then you have to confirm the transaction for your security.
- After that the NFT will be saved in your wallet.
How do I get my DOME-NFT BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD
Choose your DOME NFT in our NFTMAP, choose between DOME NFT BRONZE, SILVER or GOLD and we will send it to you.
- Choose your NFT favorite on the NFTMAP.
- Click on „Buy in store“ in the window that opens.
- You will be redirected to the order form.
- Fill it out to get all the services of your package including the benefits.
- Click on „Submit“.
- Your DOME NFT is now reserved for you.
- We check on OpenSea if your NFT is still available.
- We will send you a confirmation with the payment link.
- After the payment is received, your NFT will be produced and sent to you.
Can I buy my DOME NFT using cryptocurrencies only?
The pure DOME NFT PURE is only available through the use of the cryptocurrency Ethereum. The DOME NFT BRONZE, SILVER (+print) or GOLD (+print + miniture dome ) offers can be easily paid via bank transfer.
What do I get when I buy a DOME NFT?
You get a digital asset and the rights to use it. Blockchain technology provides protection for these rights. You will also be granted a right of first refusal (including a reminder) for future NFT drops from DOME COLOGNE NFT.
You will receive a 12 month membership to the Central Dome Building Association for this purpose, which can be renewed after 12 month. It will also be possible to order a high quality Alu-Dibond print in 20×20 centimeters or a GOLD collectors box including a miniture dome.
How do I get a wallet?
A wallet can be easily created for free in three steps:
- First you need to create a wallet. The easiest way to do that is on Metamask. Metamask guides you through the process step by step. Metamask installs an extension in your web browser (Chrome).
- Make sure that you have enough budget. You can buy Matic via bank transfer or credit card – this is similar to exchanging it for foreign currencies.
- Then you can connect your wallet to OpenSea. Here, you have to confirm the connection with OpenSea once again in the wallet for security. Done! Now you can go ahead and purchase your NFT!
What is a wallet?
Wallets are digital wallets that you can use to track your digital possessions as well as receive or send payments. Unlike a physical wallet, neither your property nor your cryptocurrency holdings reside in the wallet. Both remain on the blockchain – the wallet is your gateway to interact.

What is meant by an ,,NFT drop"?
By an NFT drop is meant the publication of an NFT project. This refers to a date, time and price. The drop is also the time that marks the start of the sale.
How expensive will an NFT be?
The DOME NFT BRONZE is available for 295,- Euro.
The additional DOME NFT SILVER orderable high quality print in Alu-Dibond costs additional 50,- Euro – so in total 345,- Euro.

Each year, the ZDV raises about 60 percent of the costs for maintaining the cathedral. This contribution is put at the disposal of the „Dombauhütte“
